CTIS focuses on pedagogic research and innovation in student education. It aims to strengthen pedagogical approaches to the Politics of Global Challenges and link research to our teaching and students

Aims 

  • To create a supportive hub for sharing, promoting and fostering innovative pedagogical practices within POLIS.
  • To provide a space for mentoring and guidance in developing staff’s pedagogical research and scholarship.
  • To support and lead in the University’s educational agenda, through collaboration with pedagogical research centres across the University.
  • To foster external links with international and national pedagogical stakeholders, to promote the activities of staff and establish channels for knowledge and practice exchange.
  • To work in partnerships with students to implement student-led teaching and elevate students voice in pedagogy across the school.

Commitments

  • To actively promote, support and pursue decolonial approaches to teaching and learning.
  • To ensure teaching environments are inclusive and accessible for all.
  • To deliver cutting-edge, research-led teaching across the school.
  • To work with students to provide resources, expertise and environments which allow them to reach their full potential.
